Happy Lent

I am praying that this article will get to you in a good spirit. If you are reading this article, and looking for a church to attend, I would like to invite you to try one of our Sunday services. Here, you will meet a good size group of loving and caring people. We are here as your faith community. We will build each other up. We will listen to each other stories. We will share laughter and smile. And we will comfort each other. Lent is the Christian season of preparation before Easter. Ash Wednesday marks the first day, or the start of the season of Lent, which begins 40 days prior to Easter (Sundays are not included in the count). Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ – his suffering and his sacrifice, his life, death, burial and resurrection. During this Lent season, the sermon series title is “24 Hours That Changed the World.” With this sermon series, we will try to understand scripture with fresh eyes, and find ourselves in each story. Throughout these six Sundays in Lent, we observe The Last Supper, The Garden of Gethsemane, The Courtyard, Sentenced, Humiliation and Crucifixion. I hope and pray that these sermon series are good tools to guide our spiritual life during this Lent season. Please come to join our small and warming congregation. If you have any prayer requests, please let us know. When you come to try our service, please let us know how you feel. We want to hear from you. Your honest comments will make us a stronger congregation. Blessings to you and yours Vathanak...
